I got this statistic from the Sabre, but VT has 65 points in regulation. 18 of them came in the last 4 minutes of the first half, and 13 of them came in the last 3 minutes of the second half. That’s ~50% of the points in ~17% of the minutes.

Methinks Mr. Bennett needs some wind sprints at the end of practice – the boys are tired.

This year, the Hoos have shot 315 while their opponents have taken 248 free throws (including tonight’s UNCW game).

Last year, UVa shot 543, opponents shot 577.

I can’t find where these stats rank in the nation, but your impression seems to be accurate.

Do you have stats on foul shot differences? It seems that this year we shoot more foul shots than our opponents – and in the past that we not often true.
